On behalf of everyone here in the BALM organization, I'm writing to tell you all how grateful we are to you for bringing us into your home, into your online world, and into your lives.
Whether you've been simply reading our blogs, or watching us on YouTube, or coming to our free events, or you are a member of one of our family or professional communities, knowing that what we say and do is having a positive impact on your life and hopefully that of your family member means more to us than we could ever say. At times like these when we are called upon to count our blessings, we count you among our greatest blessings. You give us a reason to do what we do, and your generosity of spirit keeps us going.
Have you heard about the special Holiday Support Calls we have going on between now and the end of 2021? There are two sets of calls:
For persons in active use disorder or recovery: - Tuesdays at 10:00 am ET - Thursdays at 9:00 pm ET
These calls are an opportunity to be in community with others who have or had a struggle with a use disorder.
For families coping with the impact of a loved one's challenges: - Wednesdays at 11:00 am ET - Fridays at 1:00 pm ET
These calls are an opportunity to be in community with other family members who have a loved one struggling with a use disorder. Either way, if you could use support or would like to lend support at this time of the year, we hope you will join one of these groups.
The BALM is a community because of all of you. We come from many backgrounds with many different beliefs and ideas and none of that matters because together, we are forging recovery for ourselves and our families, and those who have come through what we are going through or have been through understand that the unconditional love and peace that we strive to practice each day transcends any differences that society may assign us.
Thank you for being there for us in our times of sadness and great joy, and thank you for letting us into your lives. May your sorrows decrease and your joys grow ever stronger as you expand your practice of the BALM and all that it teaches to all of us.
With love and thanksgiving,
